Jukka Talvi

Jukka manages the result area in charge of city infra, traffic services and greenery for the City of Vaasa. He has previously worked in expert, supervisor and manager roles with intelligent travel, energy and communication. Carbon neutrality is one of the top strategic topics of the City of Vaasa and municipal technology can influence the matter through carbon sinks and traffic emissions. There are several projects on the way to further a low-carbon intelligent traffic system and improve Vaasa’s attraction in several different ways.

Päivi Korkealaakso

Päivi has over 20 years of experience in the various tasks related to land use planning. In her job as the City Planning Director of the City of Vaasa, she handles strategical long-term guidelines as well as practical land use questions. Her Architect and Construction Architect degrees as well the supplementary training in spatial planning and management together with various practical challenges, interactive design and impact considerations have created a solid foundation for her work.

Aimo Huhdanmäki

Aimo works at the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency on national and regional traffic systems and impact assessment tasks. He has previous experience with land use planning.

Jukka Parkkamäki

Jukka is Real Estate Manager at ABB Oy and is in charge of the maintenance and development of ABB’s real estate together with his team. Jukka has more than 15 years of experience in the real estate business and he has had various real estate business roles both in Finland and abroad.

Tommi is Director of Responsibility and Ethics at University of Vaasa.

Asseri Laitinen

Asseri is Senior Lecturer in Environmental Engineering at VAMK with a passion for city planning and emission reduction. He has worked in sustainable mobility workgroups and projects. He also spreads carbon calculation know-how to students and businesses in the area.

Tom Lipkin

Tom holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering and Master of Arts in Environmental Studies and works as senior lecturer in Civil Engineering (Infrastructure) at Novia. Since 2010, he has also taught Geotechnics and Infrastructure at VAMK. He has a long experience in teaching, consulting and official duties.

Mika Hakosalo

Mika has worked in sustainable development and the implementation of innovative solutions for 25 years. Since 2013, he has focused on ways digital technologies can accelerate a city's low-carbon goals. Mika started working as an energy and climate expert at the City of Vaasa in January and is responsible for coordinating the work of the Carbon Neutral Vaasa 202X project. He works closely with various teams within the city, as well as with private and the academic organizations.

Inna Ampuja

Inna is Team Leader at Ramboll in the Sustainable Urban Development unit. Inna works as an expert in user-oriented city planning in multisectoral projects and has a background in regional science and service design. She joined Ramboll after participating in the first 72-hour transport challenge in Tampere in 2015.
